I thought I would have to teach my daughter about the world; turns out I have to teach the world about her. They see a girl who doesn't speak,
I see a miracle who doesn't need words.

Angleman Families

I just heard of another little boy with Angelman Syndrome passing away yesterday. I actually met this little boy at an Angleman gathering at a friends house in Northern Virginia three years ago and he and his family have participated in the annual Angleman Syndrome Walk-a-thons in DC. Tommy was five years old. He is also the fifth child with Angelman Syndrome to pass away in the past three weeks. My heart is heavy and sad for these families, my thoughts and prayers are with them. Hug your children a little tighter this evening.
