I thought I would have to teach my daughter about the world; turns out I have to teach the world about her. They see a girl who doesn't speak,
I see a miracle who doesn't need words.

Better Late Than Never!

At the end of August we had our annual OBX trip to the beach with our fabulous friends Leslie, Scott and their son Jeff.  Despite the fact that it rained most of the week, we had a great time.

The boys had a ton of fun playing in the pool and the hot tub...

The adults did too!

And so did Ms. Allie Bean!

It's always fun trying to find new innovative ways to keep her afloat without having to hold her the whole time.  She's a pincher so the less holding means less bruising for everyone!!

The kids love to go to Kitty Hawk Kites, so we went for our annual rock wall climb - they both picked more challenging climbs and it took a bit, but they made it to the top!

And this year they added a mechanical shark...

All of the boys played a lot of pool - and Aaron and Zach helped Alex play too :)

We did manage to get in some beach time - Scott is the master at packing everything up and getting us all set up on the beach.

The boys had a sand castle building 'competition'...

I got to have some great snuggle time with my girl...

The boys did some fishing...

...while the girls relaxed :)

Even Fred got to enjoy the beach!

We had a LOT of laughs and enjoyed being silly!

We were lucky enough to have Tabitha with us for the week so the adults got to go out one evening and have fun. If you're ever around mile post 13, I HIGHLY recommend eating at the Blue Moon Beach Grill. Probably the BEST food I have had in a long time.

It was a great, relaxing, fun time.

Until next year....!
